The Fall
This is one of the most stunning movies i’ve ever seen, not only visually, but narratively. I don’t usually enjoy child actors in any capacity but alexandria’s character really sold it to me. combined with lee pace’s performance there was no way i was ending this movie with dry eyes.
the film is about finding strength in the face of overwhelming obstacles. the strength to carry on, to fight, to let go, and to care. simultaneously, it’s an ode to the power of story telling and the respite we can find it in and, perhaps most importantly, how the people around us can change the outcome of our own stories.
the movie is rife with fantastical costumes, colors, and settings that reflect the childlike wonder a good story can instill in us. the cinematography is some of the best i’ve ever seen. there’s no other movie like it.
