The Invite
There's a lot of first timers here (for me)
Seth Rogen as a lead actor that works and humoured the entire cinema countlessly (no shade to the guy, but his laugh does my head in)
Edward Norton not being out of place (again, no shade, if anything, a compliment as his potential is still going up, ignore those type-casts!)
Consistency with the dialogue and naturality in a setting that gave an awkward but a fulfilling signification to achieve a middle ground between two complexing emotional conflictions.
This film came out at a perfect time, not long ago, we had The Drama, that aimed to speak about concerns of a relationship changing and staining unconditional love. The Invite goes in a similar direction but within a commited marriage, but explored in sexual demeanour, at first, thinking it was going to turn into an immature diversion, but a lot of it was used to explain soul searching and desirings in life. One disappointment shouldn't tarnish the rest of your successes.
