Frankenstein
This one was an emotional one for me. Having been a part of a production of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, I had certain expectations about how I thought the story would unfold. However, I should have expected more of how Guillermo Del Toro would leave his distinctive touch. Many things in the story changed and only work because it’s Guillermo Del Toro directing. My feelings about Frankenstein are very similar to how I felt about Shape of Water. Beautiful story telling. Great performances across the board (Especially Jacob Elordi). “The heart will break, yet brokenly live on.”
