Submarine
watching this movie, i thought to myself: "if i wrote this in my diary i’d throw it out of the window out of sheer embarrassment.”
richard ayoade filmed a coming-of-age masterpiece. the narration is awkward on purpose, the romance is offbeat in a way that makes you want to root for it even though you also want to shake oliver by the shoulders.
also: alex turner's soundtrack added so much emotional depth to this film.
i, too, would fake existentialism for love.
