Primer
Primer is easily the most intelligent film I’ve ever seen. The entire movie left me in complete disbelief of what is happening and the events that are taking place, however when listening to an explanation of the film; the entire timeline makes complete sense and is executed in one of the most methodical and intriguing ways that a time traveling movie has ever attempted. No movie has ever destroyed my brain on a level such as this one and I absolutely loved every second of it. I will watch this movie multiple times in the future and will proudly show it off to other people and look like a fucking mega brain when I explain just how utterly genius this film is; Primer is simply a movie that is going to better after every viewing and I am so excited to experience those reruns.
Also a side note. Time travels deals with the multitude of universes and how paths interconnect with one another, so isn’t it ironic that the first run through of a movie like Primer is so completely confusing while multiple rewatches begin to unfold the tale? Primer literally requires multiple views to understand fully, just how the characters need multiple journeys to reach the understanding of their own machine. Holy fuck I already love this movie so much.
