Thunder Road

There are so many positive things I can say about this film but I’m gonna make this as short as possible. This has been at the top of my watchlist for a pretty long time, but I knew it was an emotional one so I wanted to wait for a good time to watch it.  First off, genuinely one of the nicest movie posters I’ve seen. I honestly feel like it depicts the movie so perfectly and it looks nice. Second, great acting and a great story. I feel like no matter who you are, you can feel a lot of the emotional turmoil portrayed through Jim in such a personal way. A lot of what’s happening in this film is a pretty specific demonstration, but it connects to the watcher.  Third, it may be a sad watch but in the end, you are proud of this man and how much he has endured in such a short period of time.  Great watch. 7/52 movie challenge (film from the 2010s)
