Forgot how good of a movie this is. Superb acting, great cinematography, and such a heartbreaking story based on true events. Say what you want about Leto playing a trans woman, but I thought he had a fantastic performance in this film. Didn’t even recognize him as the same dude that played the Joker in that godawful movie. His character was emotionally moving and full of range. And the growth with McConaughey’s character? Insane. Such fantastic writing, and the acting carries through with his growth. Fantastic film.
