Berserk
Even though I haven't watched too many animes yet, this is by far the best anime I have ever watched in my life. I love the 90s animation style and gives everything the right tone to the dark fantasy story. The characters are so well written and I live how I have different feelings about everyone. I loved Guts and I dont even want to talk about Griffith right now ifykyk...
The story could'nt have been better, everything was so perfectly structured and written and it bad the perfect pacing and amount of episodes. The worldbuilding is phenomenal as well, I personally really like dark fantasy worlds like this. This anime also had some creatures, monsters and demon but they we're rarely on screen. Most the time it was about humans and different clans. The journey starts actually kind of peaceful and as the episodes progressed everything kept getting more intense and alot started happening. What I also love is that in the last couple (intense) episodes everything escalates and we get to see so many cool stuff, demons and other things I cant even describe. It looked like pure art, dont wanna spoil too much though.
I think during the middle of the show there we're actually some pacing problems but only in like a couple episodes, which still we're relevant for the story but just not enough happened for me. Berserk had a really good amount of gore and didnt used it too often or in unnessecary moments which made everything extremely balanced. I liked the war scenes and the fights in general, it was fun to see Guts fight with his giant sword and how he's unbeatable with it.
For my final conclusion I can only say; please go watch this anime. It doesn't matter If you are into that or not, theres no way you are able to dislike this masterpiece only because you are not used to anime. Berserk has everything that makes an anime great and is definitely one of the best one's you can watch.
