Echo
MCU Ranked
Echo seemed interesting to me from the day it came out, but I never watched it. And now I also know why.
To be fair, it wasn't necessarily terrible, but there are so many things that felt so underwhelming, especially with that trailer and promise it's going to be more violent.
First to the good stuff. Kingpin was/is an amazing character, and I also love the actor. It's fun to see him here, and though his screentime wasn't pretty low, I still appreciated him as a highlight. I'm so sad we only got to see Daredevil for 2 minutes in the first episode, as the show would have had way more potential with him. I don't even know why they brought him up for only him to be there for 2 minutes... Anyway, I still enjoyed those. Another thing, the intro was great, and I actually never skipped it once.
Well, the rest was disappointing. I really wasn't a fan of most performances; they were a bit forced. I couldn't care less about the characters, and the 'emotional' stuff left me completely cold. I felt like we only got like 2 action scenes, as the entire show was way too slow and almost contained no action. They actually thought we were going to care about the characters. Thank god the show was only 5 episodes, as the story would have been even too long for a movie. Everything felt so soulless.
Overall, Echo is another Disney show that was so disappointing to me. Even Kingpin, the intro, and the 2 minutes of Daredevil can't help the show getting away from the fact that this is a borefest. It isn't terrible, just so mid.
