Fallen Angels
I don't know when I anticipated watching a film this much the last time. After getting across some clips and trailers, I knew that I was going to love this. I felt like I and Fallen Angels somewhat belong together. I felt like a magnet separated from its fridge, if that makes sense.
The way this is shot isn't like anything I have ever seen before, but it is also probably the coolest thing I've ever seen. The aesthetic of this was astonishing. The cinematography is so unique and gives everything a surreal and dreamy touch. The way Hong Kong is portrayed also adds to that dreamy atmosphere. This mostly set its focus on the characters, and that was a good decision. They were incredibly unique, and I loved everyone. I felt so close to all of them, and that made the ending even more sad, though it didn't leave me with a negative feeling. The soundtrack is also really original, and it couldn't fit the vibes any better. There are so many tracks that are just a big part of this films personality. There also were so many funny moments, god, I loved the humor and the randomness at times.
Overall, I don't know how to describe it. Everything seemed so perfect to me. I strongly resonated with the vibes, and it felt like being lost in a rainy night, full of strangers. I can't wait to give this a rewatch, one night. Fallen Angels turned out to actually get into my all time favorites, the way I already expected it to, from what I have seen.
