The 8 Show
What a crazy show. Pretty much Squid Game but more fuckd up. This might be the first show I actually binge watched in a day and this means something. I was extremely entertained and hooked from the first episode on and could'nt stop watching.
The fact that this represents our modern society is absolutely terrifying. All the eight characters are representing a different layer of richness or poorness starting from the eight floor which is extremely rich and careless, to the first floor which is really poor, but still wants to help and care about others. He wants to climb a ladder he just cannot climb. All that just shows how well the characters are actually written. I had really mixed feelings for everyone, changing from time to time except for number 6 and oh, espacially number 8. Idk when I hated someone like this the last time in a show or movie.
The overall story isn't anything too special but still a really, really fun concept with alot of twists and turns, so it was definitely more than enough. The cinematography was awesome and the set design was as well.
The first 4 episodes we're all fun until the last 4 episodes... It was so hard to watch I could barely even watch episode 5. Episode 7 was really sickening as well. If you want an early on really happy ending I recommend to stop watching exactly at the 2:22 minute mark in episode 7 lol.
All in all, The 8 Show was an incredible journey through a sickening interpretation of our modern society with great performances, a gripping story and alot of awesome and unexpected turns. It had some small plot holes, dumb decisions and a finale I would have wished more for bringing my score a bit down, otherwise it would have been probably 4.5 stars.
