Gladiator
“Are you not entertained?”
Pretty awesome and grand movie, with a super tight and cohesive story that pulls you in immediately. After those first 30 minutes the movie had me hooked and intrigued for the rest of the film.
Some gorgeous cinematography, with some awesome cgi and real life sets and costumes. Russel Crowe has an all time great performance as Maximus and Joaquin Phoniex is a sympathetic villain that you can’t help but still hate. Also just an incredible score that blasts throughout the entire runtime. Some truly bloody and well choreographed fighting scenes to help engage the viewers.
Just an awesome film that I feel has aged very well. I am super excited for Gladiator 2 coming at the end of the month. If that film is able to capture just a bit of the magic as this one, then we are in for a treat.
