Nosferatu
Takes the gothic fairytale of the 1922 film and turns it in to a poetic epic, much more akin to the original novel of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. A beautiful mix of traditional horror scares/fear manipulation and this new brand of overwhelming atmospheric dread that has been given a subgenre title of “elevated horror”.
The light in the darkness; vs shadows from the light
The sexuality in fear; vs the terror of eroticism
The perplexities of desire; vs the comfort in satiation
Shit got me feeling mad poetic. I love this film.
