Taxi Driver
I feel like u need to watch this movie few times to understand it deeper than that it is movie about a psycho taxi driver
In reality, the film is about loneliness, isolation, and the deteriorating mental state of a war veteran. I think Travis suffers from insomnia, and after he starts driving a taxi at night, his condition only gets worse. He witnesses violence, prostitution, and the moral decay of New York City, which leads him to believe that he has to do something about it. Even after rescuing Iris and being praised by the newspapers, his mental state does not improve.
The film shows that society can turn a dangerous, mentally unstable killer into a hero simply because his actions align with what many Americans want to believe.
The ambiguity of Taxi Driver is what makes it one of the greatest psychological films in the history of cinema.
