May nothing bad ever happen to Panda again .. that impaling scene left me distraught for a second

God I wish I listened to all the hype and watched this masterpiece on the big screen. A deeply moving human story matched with the destruction of Godzilla that doubles as political commentary on the times, leading to that final scene of everyone uniting together under dire circumstances UGHHH this was a viewing experience I didn’t know I needed to lift my spirits. Unfortunately, my main experience with Godzilla has been the American takes where it’s just rahhh big monster and while they are enjoyable (if you shut your brain off) this absolutely demolished all those attempts. I cheered, I teared up. Godzilla, I was unfamiliar with your potential. It might be time to binge the old films. Can’t wait to see what Minus Zero brings to the table for this fantastic story!!

At first I thought, oh that’s just me in love. Then it becomes full on batshit, anxiety inducing psychological horror and I immediately went, actually .. nvm .. Obsession cast and crew, my hat’s off to you. Genuinely had me petrified in my seat for more than half of this film!! A perfect example of how horror can move past cliché jump scares and give us something uniquely terrifying and ambitious that fully commits to its vision. I need to see more of our two leads IMMEDIATELY (Inde Navarratte this is the performance of a lifetime Queen) This movie is relentless and frustrating in the best way, leaving you just as drained as Bear was. Im not sure if I need to watch this over and over or never see it again. Might just be the best horror film of 2026. PS welcome Obsession to the “how the hell is she gonna explain this” hall of fame

Unfortunately, I am easily entertained, and this movie fucks!!! I never thought of Mortal Kombat as this elevated media with a great story (sorry if the games do actually have a plot, I never truly sat down and played allll of them) To me, it was always epic fights, insane scenery, excessive gore, and mind boggling fatalities, and this movie delivered in all those aspects!! The story and the script obv leave a lot to be desired, but man, those fights were insane. Liu Kang vs. Kung Lao? Oh I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I need a rematch expeditiously!!! I take these movies for what they are, and it’s a guaranteed good time with some laughs in between, so I’m walking out pretty happy and also immediately playing the Mortal Kombat theme song once I get in my car.. MORTALLL KOMBATTT!!!! 🗣️🗣️
