"we don't speak ... don't listen ... can't understand ... what means ... to persuade ... to listen ..."i don't know what this style of cinematography is called, or if it has a name, but i love it. i love watching old cinema for the intentional lighting choices too, so intricate, so beautiful. it being in black and white made it all the more visually appealing and interesting, color film was being used at the time if i'm remembering correctly, unless b&w was still being primarily used in sweden at the time. either way, the choice to use b&w film was a good one!! so much can be said without speaking, and so much can be shown without color. add-on note: i wish that when i expressed my anxiety and depressive thoughts, that i would be sent away to a sea-side cottage. instead im just told that everyone feels the same way as me and that means that there’s no reason to pay special attention to my ailments. and to drink more water. what a time!
