Poor Things
I was iffy about the first half not because it wasn’t good I just forgot how physically uncomfortable Yorgos Lanthimos films make me.
I loved the use of color as a way to convey discovery; Bella’s own physical and emotional self discovery. I think my favorite part is how her journey and her adventures were a way for her mother to get the freedom that she was seeking as well. Free from men and in charge of her own body, something that was threatened by her former husband/technically biological father and by Duncan.
