I, Tonya
honestly saying, I’m genuinely proud of Tonya Harding. wanting to be something big when you come from something small is one of the most devastating parts of life, I cannot stress enough my hate towards status culture and hierarchies. in an already unfair universe, humans double the unfairness. Tonya’s story speaks for all the people who come from poverty who were belittled and ignored for their talent, dedication and passion. i mean just look at Tonya!!! first American women to land a triple axel, to understand its extent of talent — keep in mind Margot Robbie in the making of I, Tonya, despite intense training she couldn’t land the triple axel, the production resorting to CGI instead. — and yet girl got banned for life from figure skating, her choosing boxing as the next route, in my opinion is an act of rebellion and a big FUCK YOU to everyone who villainized and belittled her to thinking she couldn’t be a figure skater, she WAS one, and then she was a boxer, and now a mom. I mean what can’t this girl do??
