This isn’t my usual type of movie, but I really liked how love was portrayed throughout it. Instead of explicit romance or sex, the film focuses on small, intimate details like stolen glances, light touches, and eye contact, which made the emotions feel more powerful. I also liked the visual style. I didn’t expect such a warm and colourful palette from an older movie, and it gave the film a strong sense of intimacy and familiarity. However, I didn’t like how the film treats emotional cheating. It feels somewhat normalised because both spouses were already unfaithful, but I still see emotional attachment outside a relationship as a form of cheating, even if it isn’t physical. Also liked how reserved they are, even though they were in love, they tried their best not to be like their cheating souses
