simple concept and seen before trope of ‘careful what you wish for’ executed very well with great acting and art direction. great use of lighting and shadows to instil the uncanny into every moment. The use of darkness makes it so we are constantly trying to figure out what facial expression nikki is making in every scene and what’s going on at any moment and creates a lot of tension and discomfort throughout the film. Great and very fitting ending and well picked out soundtrack.

great psychological horror slow burn. very silent hillesque with the themes about still lifes representing tragic and repressed memories. enjoyed the backrooms diving into psyche of the characters. slightly weaker third act compared to rest of the film. And of course, great cinematography and found footage scenes during the first half.
