“Jack I swear” “I wish I knew how to quit you”A confession and a promise.  Hand me the gun and let me finish the job ON WHO EVER APPROVED THESE LINES. Those lines alone destroyed me over and over again- the act of craving something you can’t fully grasp or will never be yours is soo so beautifully written here. The raw honesty, connection and intimacy between these 2 could end wars. -SPOILER- I could see and understand why some people might find the cheating arc in this movie absolutely disgusting- and while it is, I think it adds definition. I’m not condoning or justifying the men cheating on their partners to be with each other but I think it’s crucial to the plot to see the struggle and length they go through to get to one another.  Ennis was more hurt hearing about Jacks’s trips to Mexico and knowing what he was doing there rather than him being pissed at Jack for having another side chick along side him and Jack’s wife- or Jack even having a wife to begin with. They could’ve lived a good life together- or maybe not¿
