Freaks

One a rare occasion a movie will completely take me off guard. This was one of those movies. I didn’t have any expectations going into watching it which aided in a non biased viewing. All visual components of the film were compelling, and the fact that all of the “freaks” were actual people with the disabilities portrayed was a unique aspect that added to the movie. I found the plot of the movie incredibly interesting, and I’m glad the movie didn’t focus too much on the peoples special acts, but more on there personalities. For its time I was expecting it too be far more crude. My favorite scene was definitely the scene in the rain with Hercules.  Only being able to hear the rain and no other elements was a creative manipulation of the music and in my opinion made the scene much creepier.
