this movie is so strange. for some reason I always thought this was about vampires or something. little did I know it's a romantic comedy about my favorite subject stigmata! Tom arnold gets before the title billing. Skeet Ulrich masterclass. I actually think Schrader does a good job of capturing the tone of Elmore leonard even if this feels all over the place at times.
