Whiplash

the most accurate portrayal of a band director who has no chill 😟. overall a super great movie that is s o relatable. the drive, the intensity, the pushing to be the best version of yourself, feeling like the practice isn’t getting you anywhere, cutting off people who don’t make you better, all of it. the portrayal of genuinely loving to play is impressive and the technique isn’t terrible either, the sheet music is realistically hard unlike some movies that feature drums 🧍🏻
