Boy Erased

Well… An hour and fifty minutes of nothing if I'm being honest. The only message this movie conveyed was “Dont go conversion therapy.” I don’t expect movies to have multiple meanings or messages but for such a blatant storyline i was hoping for redeeming features. Let me tell you there aren’t many. With so many characters you would think there could be so many different stories they could bond over or at least touch upon, but no. Every relationship the main character had was thrown away. Theres a couple of times where we can see other characters stories but it truly isn’t much.  Also the “random” (i say that loosely) sa scene was really unnecessary. Thete wasn’t any need for it. It never ended up being a major role in the characters development (at least to me) and it ended up feeling like a throwaway.  Overall this movie was really boring and I don’t really recommend it. Unless you like Troye Sivan because hes there too.
