A Summer's Tale
Conte D'ete... What a wonderful film. As bright and intelligent as any of the Before Sunrise trilogy. It's different in its naturalism and how everything strikes the main character. The telephone scene is fantastic, and how every single character represents a different state of being with Gaspard made me remember why I love Manhattan so much as a film itself.
It's a movie about life, about what we love and how we behave around people who love us back. We don't match energywise with everyone, but sometimes we simply do, and it is in those times when life is truly worth it. Is there anyone better to love but a friend? One we can trust in and one we know we are OURSELVES with?
First Rohmer in my case and it was beautiful
