Aftersun
There aren't many films that immediately after finishing I have the longing desire to watch some fragments again, sob to them and rethink all the between the lines content that has been shown.
From Sophie just wanting to have a normal caring father to him, not accepting the fact that he cant provide everything he thinks she needs because of his youth and the fact that he had her being still a teenager even though she never calls or needs for it.
Charlotte Wells makes an astounding and creative film where at some part you feel like its homemade, like its his and hers pov. That last dance tho, just thinking about it makes your head go numb from the tears.
The point of this film is not wondering what happened, the big moments, I was confused about the fact that there were no big climaxes in this film, the problematic was hidden all along, and thats not wrong, its after watching where we get the whole idea and wow what a fantastic film.
