Dune: Part Two
One can only compare this to the book. Having read it one just can adimire and glance at the beauty of this masterpiece. Cause my complaint might be there isnt anything new, any new feeling of rage or teaching. However, I cannot complain as Ive feasted my eyes out watching this, and enjoyed it to the deepest.
Hans Zimmer builds up the whole pace with the audio, a cinematography that takes advantage of short shots or half body shots at a close range to immerse yourself in the thoughts of Paul Atreides and their surroundings but the most astounding decisions have always been to mantain the fidelity to Frank Herberts work, and it is sincerely one that can hardly be surpassed.
Shot wise its impressive, as I mentioned with a lot of these just being magnificent in the sense of wholeness and how wide and huge everything is, especially for the masses (Harkonnen, Fremen). Those shots were impressive as hell. But the sequences were it all I mean it and the acting crew? Oh my, what an example
It did not feel like a dialogue heavy film at all, even though it could have been and it did not need to become that. It was enough as it was and HONESTLY? It was worth it. Everyone kills it and this shows how great Denis is at filmmaking sci fi.
Im not writing any longer, go watch the film again, IMAX prime experience. This takes the next oscar for visual effects and adapted screenplay btw.
