Rear Window
Hitchcock shows love in all its different versions, and we are taught throughout the film how love finds its way, in the most Hollywood-esque way.
The Rear Window
This film makes us bite our nails in one single apartment, something impossible for most directors except for Hitchock. Most of the time we know what is about to happen and yet we can't expect it coming. It's been some time since I've felt the tension and positive anxiety of me wanting to know what would happen next. Nevertheless, this is purely cinema, with an incredible fast paced movie for the time that is a must watch by everyone.
The set, the costumes, the acting by James Stewart and his colleagues is impeccable. That with all the witty Hitchcock brought on set and the pleasing to look at photography, definitely not run of the mill.
All in all, spectacular.
