Train Dreams
My family is everywhere i see a smiling face
Train Dreams is something like I've never experienced. A movie I instantly need to pick up in Bluray and would love to watch in a theater. It's a film about the relationship of humanity and nature, an element I've always loved about Tarkovsky's films, making nature godlike and a character of its own.
Train Dreams shows us through the eyes of Joel Edgerton, who in my opinion is one of the greatest actors there is, the way life goes and gives us its turnabouts. How it can be utterly depressing at times but how it strikes back, and specially, how Nature with a capital N knows much much MUCH more than us humans.
I'm not sure if it has seen it all, but it's seen so much more than us. And like a wise man here said:
The tree was a friend if you let it alone. But the second the blade bit in, you had yourself a war. And the tree was a killer
The world is an old place you know
This film is about life, about learning as a human and about being sensible and opening OUR eyes to what we have right in front of us, cause life is about the present and about our experiences and poor old Robert understood what it all was about just in the nigh end of his life.
Better late than never.
Beautiful, beautiful film. I cried like a baby
