My nerves are destroyed after the stress I’ve gone through while watching Fletcher's aggressive behavior and perfectionist, yet Andrew's desire to be one of the “greats” was downright the reality of life, at least of mine. “Whiplash” is a film about sacrificing all your health, soul, and body for being the greatest and, as a consequence, entering an abusive place. The final scenes of the film show the full potential that Fletcher believed Andrew would have, slightly reminding me that for every dream to come true, you need to overcome pain. Further than that, it’s interesting that Damien Chazelle admires jazz. Comparing to “La La Land”, this film is so different, but has the same passion for jazz.
