House is a genius fueled by pain, bitterness, and addiction, dragging everyone around him into the storm he can’t escape. He’s ugly (no, he's gorgeous, actually), stubborn, and often unbearable—but you see every scar he’s trying to hide, even when he won’t admit it. the team around him? they’re just as raw—clawing for meaning, battling their own demons, and sometimes breaking themselves to hold it together. the writing doesn’t sugarcoat anything. it digs into failure, loneliness, and the dark edges of morality with a brutal honesty that’s rare on tv. this show doesn’t offer clean resolutions because real life doesn’t have them. it’s uncomfortable, heartbreaking, and brutally beautiful in how it shows people who save lives but can’t save themselves. that’s why it’s 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁. these are real people to me. real people with real feelings. also, i saw an edit of house opening wilson's door, like every clip of it throughout the show, and oh.my.fucking.god.  ⟢ this show has been a part of my life for 4 months. this show tore me apart, pulverized me into bits, and rebirthed me as a new being. this show is gonna stay with me for the rest of my life. i dont think i've ever watched anything like this—like, yes, it's the usual formulaic episodes: they choose the case of the week, rules out a diagnosis right away, gives the treatment which results in the patient having seizures or throwing/coughing up blood, repeats the cycle 3 more times, uncovers the patient's lies, house has a medical epiphany after staring longingly into wilson's eyes, and finally, turns out the patient has underwater skunk herpes or something...and they give the guy a new butthole and he's cured. and then house chugs vicodin while talking about wanting to rail wilson. but, out of nowhere (well, not nowhere, usually the season finale or somewhere in the middle) there are these absolute fucking masterpieces, man. like, it genuinely leaves me in awe every time. and, it's been 2 days since i finished this show, but i'm still not over the ending, like, WHAT do you mean he faked his fucking death and ran off with wilson to spend his remaining fucking months with him.
