The Conjuring
As of right now with me reviewing this movie this is my favorite horror movie. I watched this for the first time like 4 - 5 years ago on a 720p work monitor with shitty ass speakers. I have loved it ever since. The casting of Ed and Lorraine Warren is perfect casting. 90 - 80 percent of the camera shots are wobbly and shaky which gives me the feeling we are constantly looking through the POV of the family or a ghost. (Not sure if that is intentional or not but I love it.) Another thing I love about the backstory of these movies is that these are historical cases and that the real Lorraine was consulted in the making of this movie. Which raises the question how much of it is real and how much is dramatized? I could go on forever about this movie. If anyone were to watch one horror movie in their life I would point to this one.
