While marketed as satirical horror — I think this movie is primarily a comedy that doubles as a love letter to horror fans. In the first half, it satirizes the nonsensical themes that horror movies frequent. In the second half, however, it ties those plot points to create an overarching narrative that covers almost everything under the horror umbrella. This movie was painfully cringey, but maybe that was the point? Idk, people forget how corny the horror movies that it’s satirizing are in the first place. For as much as I hate on him, I think Whedon’s innately cringey style of writing helped me not take this movie too seriously. Everyone I watched it with disliked it though, so take that for what you will.

Fantastic film, very nostalgic para mi

Joss whedon can smd This version is so much better, and snyder literally filmed the additional scenes in his driveway

Entertaining in theaters but all over the place. Ending makes me want to drop this rating even more
