28 Days Later

First impressions:The promise scene gave me full body chills. The camera is terrible but somehow it just adds to the charm.  More in depth:Watching Cillian Murphy systematically take down terrible men—shirtless, brooding, basically Batman with an Irish accent—might just be a new sexuality. The world is gritty, bleak, and unrelenting, but I was especially drawn to the quiet moments with the found family. They added a much-needed human layer to all the chaos.
