Mr. Holmes

beautiful story, top notch acting- felt like proper cinema again. Every nuance of thought- all the little details that combined the sadness and the humor of life itself- were so enthralling i completely forgot that I smuggled in a bag of banana chips to snarfle. I didn't shed a tear in public (because I went with my mum and dad and I didn't want them to suddenly think I needed to move back home) but I will buy a copy of this on DVD and watch it when I need a good cry, and also because Sir Ian Murray McKellen is a remarkable addition to the Holmes legacy.
