Sinners

what i love is when films create discourse and sinners is the PERFECT example of this. it portrays themes of religion music and culture faithfully and respectfully. i love the cinematography and experimenting with 2 aspect ratios i’ve never seen or heard anything like it and it’s noticeable but distracting. the buildup for what happens at the juke keeps you on your toes and it continues that afterwards. the antagonist remmick what i love is that he isn’t just a plain racist hate black people triple k member but is irish i never thought i would see irish representation and history in modern media but here we are he is the perfect antagonist because he went through similar oppression as black people during the time. overall amazing film and would be a classic of modern times.
