Poor Things
clearly one of the best art direction in films I've watched and paired with one of the best performance I've seen, it encapsulates me throughout the journey of Bella, the cinematography and the overall setting is just so new to me, experimental as we can say but nonetheless it's a very different yet familiar experience for me which i love
but i think a lot of people would hate this movie for of course the obvious things, but i personally think it's meant to be that way like with Blue Velvet?
where there's sexual exploitation and disturbing scenes
i get where people came from when they say that the whole movie is just her sexual liberation, but i disagree i think it's the opposite, because every sex scene was for me a symbol of men taking advantage of her, as we go through the film she also grow with us right so i thought it's about te sexualization of women and how she overcame it in the end where she managed to overcome those challenges, we see in the end as this intellectual person, not as someone who was being controlled by her flesh, we see her being free from those kinds of desire
