You've always been the caretaker okay so there's of course already too many explanation on the mesning of this film but I firmly believe on the one that suggest that he has been absorbed or he became one with the Overlook Hotel his mental instability led to this, he wanted to be in the Hotel, he never wanted to leave because that's where he belong, he's becoming one with the Hotel so that's where he belong, idk mannn anyways great film love it
