Tumbbad
once in a blue moon as a horror fanatic (me), or even as a normal person, do you ever come across a movie like this, which may not be the most spine chilling, but leaves you awestruck. That's Tumbbad for me.
It surely was released in 2018, but for the last 7 years I had never watched it, just heard the story from my friends back in 2018, and later on seen summary videos of the same. Finally after actually watching the movie, I realized that this surely is one of the best Indian horror movies ever made.
It took the crew 6 years to film it, goes on to show how much effort they put into the film. The main theme of the movie is greed, and that is what I saw in every single person's eyes. Anyone who saw the gold coin was filled with greed, and if were given a chance to loot Hastar's fanny pack, would've done so. Be it the housewife, or the sidechick, anyone who saw it formed greed as their outermost layer for a while.
I wish the industry produces more of these. Mass appeasement movies have destroyed for what could've been more movies like this.
