Interstellar
Interstellar I never should've doubted you
When I tell you I jumped at the opportunity to watch this with my dad and in IMAX. Yes, I got lucky. Yes, it was beautiful. And of course, I cried. That being said, rewatching this ultimately showed me I just wasn't paying enough attention that first time I did watch it, because how was my previous rating a 4/5? Terrible. A shameful mistake.
This movie is everything.
All the details and scenes that build up to the major events are so greatly executed I just can't believe I didn't get this film at first. The visuals are insane, the film score is incredible, and the final themes are just, wow. They're a perfect balance of not too complex, but deep enough to move anyone with even an ounce of passion towards the exploration of the human existence and how love affects it all.
To think that a father-daughter connection has the power to transcend dimensions and change the course of humanity... yeah, sounds about right.
