Yeah I can see why people refer to this as the greatest movie of all time. The movie is magnificent. Working with the sheer scale of the set with the desert as the backdrop , is pure artistry dedication. The cinematography is one of the best I have seen in film and it looks like a million bucks. Even the intimate shots between characters or close ups of Lawrence add to the emotional turmoil inside the man. The costume design also is fantastic and I loved the small detail of Lawrence’s white costume getting darker as his idealism fades. The epic spans almost 4 hours but there is not single moment where you are bored. I think you could argue that the film doesn’t really have a structure, but I believe its what makes it great and unpredictable. You can see how it inspired so many film directors, I mean Spielberg invented his own style of blocking from this movie. I hope that one day I could get the opportunity to watch the 70mm version in theaters.

Thematically similar to Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, which is arguably one of the best Spider-Man movie ever. I think out of all the MCU Spider-Man movie, this was the most true to the character and the comic. My complains include the choice of the villain. No spoilers but I would have preferred an iconic Spider-Man villain choice. I mean its not like the guy lacks a good arsenal. I think some parts were too cliché and Marvel doesn’t like to take risks to alienate audiences which means no great creative divergence. Some of the best scenes were the emotional ones, which were then ruined by a quip or a joke to cut through the tension.
