📍March Around the World (#14 of 30) - 🇯🇵 In a striking display of showmanship Hirokazu Kore-eda shows us the art of filmmaking through the art of living.  Part thought-exercise, part immersive experience, this movie moves through as a pseudo-anthology, except the stories are your own. It’s less concerned with atonement and more concerned with peace. While the set design feels cold, bleak, and weathered, the visiting souls breathe life into both the interview rooms and the interviewers tasked with shepherding them onto the other side. This is a pure mastery of craft on display, and how lucky are we to live with this memory!
