kirikirikirikiri~ watched this as pregame for the minecraft movie actually. nice, slow, i loved our main girl here so much it hurt me. i do feel like this film is partly a deconstruction of the young innocent bride trope/fantasy and the idea of having a hurt girl all to yourself but maybe im reading too much into it. fantastic imagery, that big final scene with the needles and wire was so good after all that build up. so worth it. i loved the weird cuts between hallucination and reality and when they go back to past scenes with a new spin on them leaving you wondering 'what?'. when the child actor was used i was so upset (in the good way). miike save me... save me miike...
