The Hobbit

i went into this thinking itd be fun to laugh at but this was actually so cute? the animation was choppy and cheap at points and sometimes things just happen but the watercolour backgrounds and flames were beautiful! the folk music also really plays into everything the hobbit is, with just a very normal guy from the country side being sent off like this. the script was lovely and still hilarious and the narration kept the charm of the book!!! this is a great adaptation! still just as whimsical and dark in all the right ways for a kid. the peter jackson movies always haunt me with how trash they are as adaptations of the source material, this does it all right. of course, it isnt perfect, but my grown self was EXCITED watching this! i was wowed! from a story i know like i know myself!!!!! love love love. adorable.
