Donnie Darko

Goddamnn, 19yo Jake Gyllenhaal was already great! This is what I found about this film. So at 12 AM, Frank the giant bunny wakes him up because he is not in the Primer Universe. The close up to the clock that shows 12 AM is when Donnie entering Alternate Universe/Tangeant Universe. The Primer Universe will collapse if he died in Alternate Universe. He must to sacrifice himself to save the world. But he scared at first until Gretchen died, shot by Frank (the real one). It makes him moves from fear to love and sacrifice himself, and return to the Primer Universe at the end. The jet engine that comes from the future crush to his room through the black hole and he died. Frank touch his eyes and Gretchen has familiar feeling to Donnie's family because they have a vision about Alternate Universe. The important point to understand this movie is to give attention to the book The Philosophy of Time Travel.
