Harakiri
Slow burn but then it burns you to the ashes at the end. Damn, this film has one of the best writing I've ever watched. Highest rated on Letterboxd is well deserved.
Talking about the story, I think it is all about perspective. In Hanshiro's perspective, Iyi Clan was wrong. Whatever Motome did, he did that in desperate for his family, both of his wife and baby were dying. So there is no choice. But Iyi Clan brought Motome's body home and humiliated him. Miho and the baby died and Hanshiro take revenge to prove that Samurai honor is just a facade or a shell. It loses it's meaning and honor.
In the other hand, for Iyi Clan, Motome's action is a shame for Samurai. It hurts Samurai honor and insults Iyi Clan. So, they are right and wrong at the same time. There is no absolute one, in everything that happens, there is always two sides of coin.
