Duck Soup

This comedy is brilliant. Besides the absurdity, Groucho's rapid-fire delivery is fantastic. Even if it appears to be a simple comedy, this film blends absurdity with the senselessness of international conflicts, portraying them as a duel of egos between two leaders that leads to war. Honestly, I wasn't expecting this kind of film when I started watching it, and I think these characters are the forerunners of absurdist humor in cinema, like in "Airplane!" or in most Monty Python films.
