Inside Outvicolangelo9.8· March 10, 2024FollowI LOVE THIS MOVIE YALL. i know it’s like a children's movie, but WHO CARES??? it shows the mental and emotional struggles with moving away and starting a new life in an unknown place, which is something i relate to A LOT. and the fact that joy and sadness are out of the picture while the emotions all scramble to try and create some sort of new joy really hits hard. it tackles forms of numbness and depression, and how hard it is for Riley to cope with all of the change. the scene where Riley comes back from almost running away and her parents hugging her still makes me cry.
