The Last Samurai

HONORRRRRRR Damn, this movie got me excited to watch more content about samurai. Overall, I love films about samurai and Japanese traditions, especially how highly they value honor. I find it particularly interesting when the plot involves samurai using swords against more modern weapons like rifles and cannons, it creates a compelling clash between different historical eras. I also really appreciated Hiroyuki Sanada’s performance. I recognized him from Shogun and think he’s a great actor. I think I’ll go play Ghost of Tsushima now.
